On the ground floor there is a pretty open plan living/dining area with comfortable traditional seating area, a dining table, an open fireplace, TV, a radio cassette player and a telephone for incoming calls. Separated from the living/dining area by a breakfast bar is a well-equipped kitchenette with a full size electric cooker, large fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine and ironing board with iron. Air conditioning is available (at an extra local charge).
On the first floor there is a spacious lobby with a desk and a sofa bed, and the entrance to the upper sun terrace. There are 3 bedrooms on this floor, one with wrought iron twin beds and a wardrobe, the second one with a French size double bed and a dressing table and the third one with a French size double bed, a single bed and built in wardrobes. The bedrooms share a large bathroom with bath/WC, and a washing machine.
The villa is surrounded by rocky terrain with some flowers, shrubs and a BBQ, a traditional wood burning oven and an outdoor shower. Stone steps lead to the entrance of the villa and to the terrace on the first floor. There are a few village houses nearby and in the village of Afrata there are four tavernas. The nearest supermarket is in Kolimbari, but fresh bread can be bought from the “bread-van”, which stops in the village every day. The small pebble beach at the end of the gorge is about 900 metres away and can be reached down a little lane.
This villa is ideal for people who are looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful, natural and quiet spot off the beaten track. A car is essential.
