This
luxurious villa with private pool (approx. 50sqm) is situated on
the edge of the charming old village of Prines, 6 km inland from
Rethymnon. It is quietly positioned and surrounded by lovely gardens
and pretty stone walls. The large poolside terrace and balconies
offer beautiful views over the surrounding area and the distant
sea.
There are sunbeds around the pool and wooden patio furniture, and
a large BBQ make the covered terrace an ideal spot for Al Fresco
dining.
The villa is 300sqm in size, with 5 bedrooms, each of them with
luxurious en-suite bathroom/WC, and it is suitable for up to 10
people.
There is a very well equipped kitchen positioned on the raised ground
floor, with full electric cooker, coffee machine and dishwasher,
and a door leads out to the terrace. The living area has comfortable
seating, open fireplace, satellite TV and stereo. Further to this
there is one double bedroom on this floor, with a door opening out
to the terrace. There is a safety deposit box in this bedroom. From
the living room an open marble staircase leads to upper floor where
3 bedrooms are situated; one has a four poster bed, one has a double
bed and the other twin beds. There is a very large terrace on this
floor with fabulous views. The 5th bedroom with en-suite shower/WC
is in the semi basement, together with the fitness room with table
tennis, a separate bathroom, and a utility room with a washing machine.
Further to this the villa has central heating (at an extra charge)
for cooler spells.
The sea is about 3 km, and the nearest beach 5 km away. Some shops
and a taverna can be found in the villages of Prines, and in Atsipopoulo
(2 km), which is famous for its excellent tavernas. Car hire is
recommended.
